Jason and I drove through Rachel Brooke Estates
on our own separate times but later found
we were both drawn to the same lot.
Sadly, it was reserved by another couple so while we
nervously waited out the last weeks of their 60-day
reservation period, we reserved the lot across from it.
When they were unable to sell their home, the lot opened
up (the very day I finished a novena) and we were first in line.
The Beverlin "Walnut" was the first model home we toured.
(The inside was still just framed, no sheetrock.)
We really liked it but dismissed it as too big. However, after
touring many others--none of which appealed to us--we kept
feeling the pull of this one. Eventually we realized that the space
it offered was perfect for our growing family, especially during
the holidays.
By October we'd finalized our decision and on November 12
Jason and Matt staked out the footprint of our new home.
